 se of your iPad/Android device. Participants should be familiar with the ge

 tor Building is across S. Sossaman Rd from the FBO (Gateway Aviation Servic

 ateway Aviation Services. Ramp fees are waived for seminar participants. If
  you plan to fly in, be advised that Gateway Aviation Services currently ch

  will be headed East, the Simulator Bldg is on the left and Lot 16A is on y
 our right. You may park in Lot 16A for this seminar. The entry for Lot 16A 
 is on the East side of the lot. Follow Innovation Way N around the corner t
 o Innovation Way E and the Lot 16A entry will be on your right. Once on Inn

 ATE, OR ADVANCED) SO THE LEAD FACILITATOR CAN ENSURE THE PROPER FACILITATOR
 S ARE PRESENT.\n\n\nAn electronic flight bag such as Foreflight, WingX, and
  Garmin Pilot can greatly increase both situational awareness and safety bu
 t only if the pilot is proficient in their use. Attempting to learn the app
 lication while you are flying the airplane has the exact opposite effect an
 d can be dangerous. This workshop is intended to make you familiar with the
  application so that it is an aid in the cockpit and not a distraction.\n\n
 \nPreflight planning is the first step in a successful and safe flight. Ele
 ctronic Flight Bags can simplify the process of preflight planning and brin
 g most of the information you need such as runway lengths, fuel required, e
 xpected weather, and other vital information to one place. This workshop wi
 ll teach you how to use the EFB to efficiently plan your intended flights.\
 n\n\nOnce in the air, situational awareness is the key to the successful co
 mpletion of the flight. Learn how the EFB can bring traffic and weather int
 o your cockpit and help you avoid midair collisions and inadvertant flight 
 into IMC, one of the most deadly mistakes pilots can make - even those with
  an instrument rating. In addition, your facilitator will cover overall use
  of the EFB in all phases of flight.\n\n\nRunway incursions continue to be 
 a significant problem for the GA community. Come learn how the aviation app
 lications covered in this workshop can help, so you do not become the next 
 runway incursion statistic.\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations, including pilot
 s 'busting' TFRs, are another area of concern for the GA community. The avi
 ation applications covered in this workshop can provide a significant incre
 ase in situational awareness with respect to airspace. Learn how to make us
 e of these tools to ensure you are complying with airspace requirements.\n\
