 umulation of ice and the resulting loss of aircraft performance. These have
  been a result of both in-flight and ground ice encounters. This seminar wi
 ll focus on proper preflight planning to avoid icing conditions, and approp
 riate aeronautical decision making related to both ground and in-flight ice
  accumulation. We will also review the applicable parts of the Aeronautical
  Information Manual (AIM) related to icing. A few accident records will als
 o be discussed to discuss how past accidents may have been prevented. The e
