iation, created by two local Prescott, Arizona residents, based on the
belief that “an FBO, built and managed by pilots, would best understand ho
w to support the needs of fellow aviators” opened on January 2, 2008, as Pr
escott’s first Fixed Base Operation (FBO) in the airport’s storied nearly 9
0-year history. Legend Aviation is able to provide a wide array of services
that benefit you, our fellow pilots, and the Prescott community as a whole
.\nThe owners chose the company name, Legend Aviation, because it symb
olizes the spirit of aviation past and present. As an example, the newly re
modeled FBO terminal building was originally constructed in 1969 as the FAA
Flight Service Station, which serviced the vast high desert area of Northe
rn Arizona for many years. Echoes of the Prescott Airport’s origins and avi
ation history, in general, are displayed by drawings and paintings on the w
alls throughout the terminal building. The airport’s original rotatin
g beacon is displayed and memorialized at Legend Aviation commemorating the
beacon’s long aviation service in safely guiding pilots to this unique sou
thwestern location.\nLegend Aviation, Prescott Municipal Airport's premier
