Date and Time: Saturday, February 25, 2017, starting at 09:00 Arizona
Speaker(s): Terry Brandt & Doug Palmquist
Brief Description:
How to fly a stabilized approach. The positive advantages are improved aircraft control throughout the approach and landing. Changing conditions of airspeed, sink rate and external factors are more readily detected and corrected. Application is pertinent to visual and instrument conditions, resulting in improved flying skills.
Loss of Control accidents continue to be the leading overall cause of General Aviation accidents involving fatalities. The types or categories of "loss of control" will be presented along with recognition factors on how to avoid the situations in which they occur.
