Falcon Field Airport 6th Annual Open House

9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The event will showcase the vital aviation and economic role of Falcon Field and its many businesses to the Mesa community.

The Open House will feature:

• Static displays of helicopters, vintage war birds, unmanned aerial vehicles, experimental aircraft and general aviation planes.

• Impala Bob's Classic Car Show benefitting the East Valley Boys & Girls Club.

• Public safety & Valley Metro transit vehicles.

• A model railroad exhibit by the Arizona Big Train Operators

• Informational displays by representatives of area aviation education programs, local businesses and the City of Mesa.

• Meet Freddy the Falcon and enjoy great food and nostalgic music!

• Learn about Falcon Field's origin as a World War II pilot training base at the Commemorative Air Force Airbase Arizona Museum. Get history firsthand from World War II veterans including British Royal Air Force pilots & instructors, celebrated Tuskegee Airmen, and Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) who will be available to talk with museum guests. View the museum's impressive collection of restored military aircraft from World War I through Vietnam.
  
  The museum will open at 9 a.m. on March 29 and will offer a special reduced Open House admission rate of $5 per person or $10 per family. Kids under age 5 are admitted free!
